McLaren recently exhibited at the ARC World Industry Forum in Florida and IBM Pulse 2010 In Las Vegas.   Both events included Asset Lifecycle Management Tracks highlighting problems with inconsistent handover of information to Operations and Maintenance.

Many Owner/Operators we met had purchased Document Management or ECM platforms believing them to be applications rather than technology platforms to manage asset documents and drawings. As a result many expressed disappointment with the high cost of customizations and the low level of user adoption.

On a theme of “Managing Asset Documentation is more than Document Management” the McLaren booths were very busy demonstrating how solutions based on
Enterprise Engineer help to streamline both the handover process and increase user adoption.
